First Blog Web 2.0

Setting up a gmail account and this blog site seems pretty easy. Thanks Brooke for the easy directions and video. The lttlest thing can consume a lot of time when you don't know how to do something. I can see how tweeking the site to my taste and style could also eat up a lot of time. I have a lot of science sites that I want to add. Right now I'm looking under my "Favorites" on my desktop to add some sites. I'm wondering who is going to want to view this. Hopefully I can use this with my students and their parents. I'm also looking forward to adding pages and seeing how this can help my students. Will Kentwood students be able to view blogs and respond to them? How can I find out who is also taking this class so that we can view their blogs and they can view mine? I hope people come to that first class tomorrow night. See everyone then.

  2. You bring up a great point Gina! As teachers, it feels like we are always working against time. It is important that we do not lose focus of what our goals are. We need to remind ourselves that using technology to use technology is not effective integration. It is very easy to get distracted by all of the cool stuff. :)
