Thing Four

I really enjoyed visiting Voice Thread and view some of their pod cast. I joined and created a voice thread titled, "Sea and Land Breezes." Or maybe it's, "Land and Sea Breezes." It was fun (and time consuming). In the future, I will write out a script so that my voice is not so choppy. I can see how this could be utilized in the classroom as another way for students to show what they have learned. I am struggling with all of my new usernames and passwords. I hope someone will view my voice thread and comment. I drew the pictures in "draw."

  2. Thanks for the comments. I found it very easy to embed the podcast (Voice thread). I can't wait to try it again.
I think that it couuld be easily integrated into most subjects as a way for students to show what they know (in place of a poster/power point, etc. Will the district consider paying the fee for students? I believe that it was a $1.00 a student for a year (reasonable). I can also see how useful it will be for teachers. Especially for those students who miss a lab that cannot be repeated.

  3. Very nice voice tread. I learned something new today :) I liked how you carefully and slowly explained the process. It gave me time to understand it. I think that helps students as well.

  4. Gina,

I watched your land and sea presentation and was very impressed with the process. It looks like you spent quite a bit of time putting that together.

I just tried to do a voice thread from my computer at Crestwood and found out that we don't have the capability to record. Something to do with the software and we only have the basics.

  5. Gina,

Awesome podcast! I imagine that the more we do these things, the easier it will become, but I understand what you mean about scripting before you record.
