Thing Three
I've never had a photo sharing site. I know that you can limit who can view the photos, but do you need permission from parents to post a photo of their child? Can this be linked to our blogs? I'm going to take some photos of my students this week, set up a flicker account and see how it goes. I would appreciate any feed-back anyone can give me. I have had a classroom website before, but not many students took advantage of it. I think we have a lot of poverty students who don't have computer access. I'm not sure if I want to set up a Shutterfly classroom site. I want to see what others are doing.

You bring up a great question about parental permission. As more teachers are creating classroom webpages and blogs, I think that it is important that we discuss what type of content should and should not be included. At this point, I suggest that you notify parents and let them know what you are doing. I am in the process of organizing a discussion on this exact topic. I will keep you posted!
